Within eight miles are historic Lewes and cosmopolitan regency Brighton by the sea which provides a wealth of entertainment and restaurants. Glyndebourne opera house is 12 miles away. The beautiful gardens at Sheffield Park, Nymans and Leonardslee are not far away. Hassocks mainline station is nearby with regular trains to Gatwick airport (30 minutes) and London Victoria (one hour). Newhaven ferry port is 15 miles away.
